      Incidents — The Investigative Committee is looking into the causes of the death of a 99-year-old woman in a fire in the village of Pershino in the Borsky District, the press service of the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the region reported.

      According to the law-enforcement agency, the tragic incident occurred in a residential house on September 1. The pensioner's body was found amid the charred remains.

      An investigator from the investigative department for the town of Bor went to the scene. A probe has been opened. No signs of a crime were found during the examination of the victim's body.

      A fire-technical examination has been ordered to determine the cause of the blaze. The preliminary cause of the fire was carelessness with fire.

      Earlier it was reported that the Investigative Committee is clarifying the circumstances of a man's death in a fire in Sukhobezvodnoye.
