      Sport. In Nizhny Novgorod, Torpedo's hockey players defeated Yekaterinburg's Avtomobilist in a friendly match. The game on the ice of the Nagorny CRC, held on September 2, ended 4-3 in favor of the hosts.

      A brace for the Nizhny Novgorod side was recorded by forward Vasily Atanasov. Another goal was scored by Maxim Letunov. The decisive penalty shot was converted by Mikhail Abramov. For the opponents, Curtis Valk, Brooks Macek and Egor Chernikov scored.

      For Torpedo, this victory was their first in six preseason games. The KHL team will begin the new season on September 6 with a home game (6+) against Salavat Yulaev.
