       SocietyIn September the "Health Trains" will visit 21 municipalities of the region and four more districts of Nizhny Novgorod. Residents will be seen weekly in five mobile units at once — all are equipped with modern medical equipment for diagnosing patients' health conditions.

      As reported by the Ministry of Health of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, in the first week of the month doctors are seeing patients in the Pochinkovsky, Ardatovsky and Sharangsky districts, as well as in the Moskovsky and Prioksky districts of the regional center.

      Next week, from September 8 to 12, the "Health Trains" will stop in the Lukoyanovsky, Voznesensky and Tonkinsky districts, as well as in the Kanavinsky and Kstovsky districts of Nizhny Novgorod.

      From September 15 to 18 specialists will examine residents of the urban district of Vyksa, and the Pilninsky, Shatkovsky, Balakhninsky and Shakhunsky districts.

      In the week from September 22 to 26 patients from the urban district of Kulebaki, Bolsheboldinsky, Perevozsky, Volodarsky and Tonshaevsky districts will be able to see the doctors.

      The month will end with visits to the urban district of Dzerzhinsk, Gaginsky, Vadsky, Vetluzhsky and Navashinsky districts. Here specialists will work from September 29 to October 2.

      The ministry reminded that cardiologists, neurologists, gynecologists, urologists, endocrinologists, ophthalmologists, oncologists, surgeons and other doctors are seeing patients on the "Health Trains." Scheduling a visit to a doctor is worth it not only for patients with complaints but also for those who feel fine. It is important to remember that regular preventive check-ups are a valuable investment in one's own health and longevity.

      "Since the beginning of the year our specialists have seen about 28.3 thousand people. They have provided more than 48.5 thousand medical consultations, as well as almost 100 thousand various examinations. The equipment our units received thanks to the national project 'Healthcare' makes it possible to perform electrocardiograms, fluorography, mammography, ultrasound examinations, as well as laboratory diagnostics," said the N.A. Semashko Nizhny Novgorod Regional Clinical Hospital, on the basis of which the "Health Trains" teams are formed.

      Recall that the "Health Trains" project has been implemented on the initiative of the Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Gleb Nikitin since 2018. The work of the mobile diagnostic units makes it possible to achieve the goals and objectives provided by the new national project "Longer and Active Life."

      The national project "Longer and Active Life" was launched in the country in 2025 at the instruction of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin. It is aimed at the expected increase in life expectancy by 2030 and envisages further renovation of polyclinics, outpatient clinics and feldsher-midwife stations, attracting an increasing number of qualified medical personnel to medical institutions, applying new approaches to the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of chronic diseases, improving emergency medical care and the rehabilitation system, developing a network of national research centers, and digitizing the healthcare sector.

      The national project includes 11 federal projects: "Health for Everyone," "Modernization of Primary Healthcare," "Medical Personnel," "Fight against Cardiovascular Diseases," "Fight against Oncological Diseases," "Fight against Diabetes," "Fight against Hepatitis and Minimization of Disease Spread Risks," "Improvement of Emergency Medical Care," "Development of Federal Medical Organizations, including the development of the network of national research centers," the national platform "Health," and "Optimal Medical Rehabilitation for Health Recovery."
