      “At the beginning of August we, together with members of the city’s Public Chamber, handed over the motorcycle, and after some time we received news that it had been delivered, undergone a shakedown, and is fully suitable for carrying out operational tasks,” said Artur Shtoyan, Director of the Department of Social Communications and Youth Policy.

      The motorcycle has been added to the inventory of the Terek Cossack volunteer battalion, where, after combat coordination, a member of the 2nd convocation of the Public Chamber of Nizhny Novgorod, Andrey Nesterenko, went together with a group of fellow countrymen. Delivery to the front was provided by volunteers from the “Victory Team.” “An excellent 300cc machine. This motorcycle is a significant help for us. It is very gratifying to receive it from our fellow countrymen,” Andrey Nesterenko conveyed his words of gratitude.

      According to the author of the initiative, Deputy Chairman of the Public Chamber of Nizhny Novgorod Roman Permyakov, this is already the sixth motorcycle sent to the front from Nizhny Novgorod as part of the #motonafront campaign. “It warms my heart that many people from Nizhny Novgorod heard the call from the front and, with joint efforts, we are able to help the guys. In fact, whole moto-divisions are now being formed with the participation of Nizhny Novgorod residents. I am proud of my fellow countrymen both at the front and on the home front,” Roman Permyakov said, noting that the motorcycle is now present in almost every humanitarian convoy sent to the front.

      The region’s sports community has also joined the campaign. Last weekend Dmitry Kabaylo, Minister of Sports of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, delivered a motocross bike to the SVO zone as part of the third stage of the MMT RGP Championship and the Russian Supercross Championship in Dzerzhinsk.

      According to the Department of Social Communications and Youth Policy, members of the chamber regularly take part in humanitarian and volunteer missions, personally visit the SVO territory and provide ongoing assistance to participants and the families of service members from Nizhny Novgorod. “Our fighters feel a reliable rear thanks to the efforts of public associations, citizens and authorities. We regularly collect and send humanitarian aid to our fighters. We also pay great attention to the patriotic education of our youth: at the instruction of the head of the city, Yuri Shalabaev, a museum dedicated to the SVO was created, which in a year has already received more than 44,000 visitors,” said Artur Shtoyan, Director of the Department of Social Communications and Youth Policy.

      Earlier it was reported that the head of Nizhny Novgorod, Yuri Shalabaev, visited the Nizhny Novgorod military hospital and met with SVO participants who, after being wounded, are undergoing treatment and preparing for prosthetics.

      Also, at Yuri Shalabaev’s instruction, the city administration will help repair the food service building of the Nizhny Novgorod military hospital, where SVO fighters are being treated.
