      A new public transport stop has appeared in Bogorodsk. Local residents had proposed adding another point to the bus route. Social precinct officers joined the effort to resolve the issue. Thanks to joint work with deputies and the city administration, they processed the residents' request. Now a new stop has appeared on Lenin Street opposite building No. 202.

      "Thanks to the joint efforts of the administration and, which is especially valuable, the active participation of caring residents of Bogorodsk, the new stop is open! We did not just install a shelter — a comprehensive job was carried out: platforms were equipped, pull-in bays were installed, approaches to the stop prepared, the pedestrian crossing markings were applied and the necessary road signs erected. This facility is another step toward creating a comfortable urban environment. And most importantly, it appeared exactly where it was truly expected," said the head of the local self-government of the Bogorodsk municipal district, Alexey Korotkov.

      The district head reported that the total cost of the project amounted to about 3 million rubles.

      "This is a long-awaited facility. Residents appealed many times, including to us, with requests for a new public transport stop. Together we analyzed the bus routing and justified the need for this stop. It is an important point in the city. Very convenient. We will continue to work with residents' appeals," said social precinct officer Ekaterina Koshkina.

      The new public transport stop has become an important transport hub. It is located opposite the Central Library of Bogorodsk. Nearby are the city administration, a multifunctional center, banks and School No. 3. This is one of the busiest areas in the city.

      "It's great that a new stop has appeared in this location. Taxi rides are expensive, and now you can reach the needed address by bus. It's especially good that the stop appeared right at the start of the new school year. The school and the central library are nearby. Pupils will be able to get to classes quickly, conveniently and safely. I think both children and parents will appreciate it," shared local resident Vera Kulymanova.

      The new stop began operating in August 2025. The structure is made of composite materials with double-glazed inserts. In bad weather passengers will be able to wait comfortably for the bus. The work was carried out using city budget funds.

      Recall, the "Social Precinct Officer" project started in March 2023 at the initiative of the Governor of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, Gleb Nikitin, and covers the regional center, Dzerzhinsk, Arzamas, Bogorodsk and Kstovo. The public project unites concerned residents who act as intermediaries between the authorities and society.
