Specialists of the Rosselkhoznadzor Directorate for the Nizhny Novgorod Region and the Republic of Mari El discovered a case of improper certification of dairy products with an expired shelf life. The violation was identified during an analysis of the issuance of veterinary accompanying documents (VSD) in the "Mercury" FGIS "VetIS" system.
As inspectors established, on August 27 a VSD was issued for pasteurized cream at one of the dairy processing enterprises in the Dalnekonstantinovsky District, the shelf life of which had already expired on July 11. The product was intended for industrial processing.
According to the provisions of Federal Law No. 29-FZ of January 2, 2000 "On the Quality and Safety of Food Products," the circulation of food products with an expired shelf life is prohibited. Such a violation does not allow ensuring product traceability and contradicts the mandatory requirements for issuing veterinary documents.
The authorized specialist who issued the transport certificate was sent a notification of the identified violations via the "VetIS. Passport" component.
In addition, the recipient of the products, who accepted and cancelled the VSD for the expired cream, was sent an informational letter with recommendations to prevent the circulation of dairy products that do not meet certification requirements.
Earlier it was reported that 284 kg of prohibited products were seized at Nizhny Novgorod airport.
