SVO volunteer: "I can't stay on the sidelines and I'm going for our victory!"

      A group of volunteers signed military contracts and departed from Nizhny Novgorod for combat coordination training before taking part in a special military operation. At the Nizhny Novgorod selection point, the contractees underwent the mandatory medical examination and briefing.

      The group of those who decided to go to the SMO zone included men from different regions of the country, people of different ages, with and without combat experience. Dozens of volunteers are exchanging civilian professions for military specialties in order to join their comrades.

      Thus, a volunteer from Yekaterinburg worked as a crane operator of the highest grade before signing the contract. He said his decision was based on personal concerns for his loved ones.

      “I am going to the special operation and I am confident that I will cope with all tasks. My brother has been fighting in the SMO for more than three years. He shared unpleasant moments concerning the attitude of the Ukrainian authorities toward people, both civilians and military personnel. Therefore I cannot stand aside and I am going for our Victory!” the volunteer shared.

      Another volunteer — from Kemerovo — is convinced that the unity of the people is its strength. The man explained his desire to take part in the special operation not only by personal feelings but also by a sense of responsibility for the country’s future.

      “Although I have not undergone special training and have not studied military affairs, when the question arose of how to act next, I gathered myself without hesitation and went. I am sure that all the necessary skills will come with time, in the course of service. Every person leaves a mark on history that will be remembered for decades. I strive to leave a good memory of myself so that my children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren can be proud of me. Victory will be ours! God is with us, strength is with us, and the Russian spirit!” the recruit shared.

      Recall that the state provides worthy financial support to defenders of the Motherland and helps their families. Also, those who sign a contract and go to the SMO zone are issued certificates for the provision of 10 sotkas of land in the Nizhny Novgorod region. The certificate can be used two years after its receipt.

      In addition, the Nizhny Novgorod region operates a mechanism for concluding military social contracts, which additionally guarantee the family of a contract serviceman 10,000 rubles per month for each child, benefits for payment of utilities, preschool services and other types of support. Individual support for the serviceman’s family is also provided.

      The dispatch of volunteers to their place of service and the issuance of additional equipment is ensured by the Coordination Center for the Support of Servicemen, Mobilized Personnel and Their Families, operating on the basis of the House of National Unity.
