       SocietyNizhny Novgorod Governor Gleb Nikitin congratulated teachers, students and their parents on Knowledge Day, which is celebrated on September 1.

      "September 1 is a holiday that for each of us is associated with nostalgia, an exciting sense of anticipation and joy. A modern person constantly deepens their knowledge, acquires new skills and competencies. Continuous development has become a way of life — this is precisely the guideline we instill in the minds of our children," Gleb Nikitin said.

      According to him, today an important stage begins for 33,000 first-graders in Nizhny Novgorod; older children are taking up their studies with renewed energy, and mentors and relatives are full of hopes and aspirations, ready to help their children.

      "In the Nizhny Novgorod region all the necessary conditions have been created to develop and become successful. And the foundation of education is, of course, schools. In 2025 we are carrying out comprehensive and major overhauls of 20 general education institutions, and we will commission six facilities. All this is done so that children and adolescents have the opportunity to receive a decent education — not only basic, but also additional. Our region has many sections and clubs; 'Kvantoriums', 'Points of Growth', and 'IT-cubes' are operating," the governor added.

      He also said that Nizhny Novgorod colleges and technical schools, together with industrial enterprises, are increasingly being involved in the federal project "Professionalitet", and the IT campus "Neymark" is launching three new inter-university network programs this year. Nizhny Novgorod students and young professionals are active participants in the olympiad movement, skills competitions, grant projects, and are winners of numerous awards and prizes.

      "On Knowledge Day I want to wish all participants in the educational process success and joy in acquiring knowledge! May your studies inspire you! I wish you confidence in your abilities, new achievements and victories!" the head of the region congratulated.
