The SME Corporation presented an updated calendar for entrepreneurs for September 2025. The document contains a list of mandatory reports and payments relevant to representatives of small and medium-sized businesses.

The preparation of the calendar is part of the implementation of the national project "Efficient and Competitive Economy," which is aimed at supporting entrepreneurship and developing the business environment in the country.

At the beginning of autumn entrepreneurs will have a number of obligations to fulfill to state authorities.

By September 3 it is necessary to submit a notification for personal income tax (PIT) for the period from August 23 to August 31 if payments to employees were made during that time. The tax payment must be made no later than September 5.

By September 15 employers are required to remit insurance contributions to the Social Fund of Russia for occupational injuries for August.

By September 22 importers of goods from EAEU countries must pay indirect taxes and submit the corresponding declaration for August.

September 25 is the deadline for filing several reports and paying taxes. Employers must submit: a notification on insurance contributions and PIT for the period from September 1 to 22; individualized information on employees for August.

In addition, manufacturers of excisable goods must file an excise declaration, and organizations on the general taxation system that have chosen to calculate profit tax based on actual profit must report for August.

Also by that date the tax under the Auto-USN system for August is payable.

September 29 is the final deadline for paying a number of mandatory payments: insurance contributions and PIT for the first part of September; one-third of VAT for the second quarter for organizations and individual entrepreneurs on the general taxation system, the simplified taxation system and the unified agricultural tax (if not exempt); advance payment of profit tax for organizations on the general taxation system that have not switched to quarterly calculation; excise duties — for producers of excisable products; tax on professional income (NPD) — for the self-employed.

Entrepreneurs in the Nizhny Novgorod region can obtain detailed information on business support measures at the federal and regional levels at the "My Business" center operating under the federal project "Small and Medium Entrepreneurship."

The center provides consultations and also access to the "My Business" hotline at 8 (800) 301-29-94. The call is free.

The national project "Efficient and Competitive Economy," initiated by Russian President Vladimir Putin, includes a number of directions, including the development of SMEs, increasing labor productivity, stimulating investment and the transition to a low‑carbon economy.

Creating favorable conditions for starting and running a business remains one of the project's key tasks. Work in this direction continues.
