A power engineer from Nizhny Novgorod reached the summit of Mount Elbrus.

      Sports dispatcher of the Nizhny Novgorod branch of the company Rosseti Centre and the Volga Region, Dmitry Nedoshitov, successfully competed in the Alpindustria Elbrus Race held in the settlement of Terskol in the Elbrus area.

      According to the company's official Telegram channel, athletes had to cover a distance of 32 kilometers while gaining more than 2,200 meters of elevation along the way. The route ran over difficult mountain terrain, which significantly increased the level of physical and psychological strain.

      210 athletes took part in the race. Dmitry Nedoshitov posted an impressive result, finishing 17th overall and winning a silver medal in his age category. His finishing time was 4 hours 47 minutes.

      For Dmitry, this achievement became another milestone in a busy sporting career. He is a Master of Sports in athletics and is recognized as the best Russian runner in the 24-hour run in the M50 category.

      Earlier it was reported that Nizhny Novgorod will host the second stage of the All-Russian torch relay "Flame of Life" (0+).
