      A fire broke out in the basement of the apartment building No. 9/6 on Strazh Revolyutsii Street in the Moskovsky district of Nizhny Novgorod, the regional EMERCOM press service reported.

      The fire spread over an area of about 10 square meters. Garbage was burning in the basement.

      Fire and rescue units promptly arrived at the scene. The blaze was contained, preventing it from spreading to the residential floors.

      No one was injured during the incident. There were no fatalities. Twenty-five people were evacuated from the building. There were no children among the evacuees.

      It is known that a medical center is also located in the building. The cause of the fire is being investigated.

      Earlier it was reported that a kitchen caught fire in one of the apartments in Sormovo, forcing the evacuation of 40 people.
