A man from Nizhny Novgorod is accused of the attempted murder of a resident of Kemerovo Oblast.

      An investigator of the investigative department for the Kanavinsky District of the city of Nizhny Novgorod of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for Nizhny Novgorod Oblast has opened a criminal case against a local resident. He is charged under part 3 of Article 30 and part 1 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation — "attempted murder."

      According to the investigation, on 25 August 2025 at a public transport stop in the Kanavinsky District, during an argument with a previously unknown man — a resident of Kemerovo Oblast — the accused struck the opponent with a knife in the abdominal area. The victim was taken to a medical facility, where he received necessary assistance.

      The court has ordered that the man be held in custody.

      At present, an investigator of the Investigative Committee of Russia is conducting a set of necessary investigative actions to establish all the circumstances of the incident, as well as the causes and conditions that contributed to it.

      It was previously reported that the court dissolved the third panel of jurors in the case of the murder of a Rosgvardiya serviceman in Nizhny Novgorod.
