      The first deputy head of the Nizhny Novgorod administration, Ilya Shtokman, has left his post. This was announced by the city's mayor, Yuri Shalabaev, on his Telegram channel.

      He noted that Shtokman is a winner of the "Leaders of Russia" competition and a good friend of his.

      "In 2022, Ilya Olegovich went to the area of the special military operation, where he worked closely with men from Nizhny Novgorod. Thanks to his work at the front, we helped resolve important issues for the fighters," Shalabaev added.

      The mayor thanked Shtokman for his contribution to the city's development and for supporting his fellow townsmen during the special military operation.

      Sergey Egorov has become the new first deputy head of the administration; he previously served in this role in an acting capacity.

      Yuri Shalabaev emphasized that under Egorov's leadership significant initiatives were successfully implemented: a monitoring system for the execution of national projects was introduced, a municipal investment standard was established, and work was organized to identify informal employment, increase wages, and settle tax arrears.

      Recall that Ilya Shtokman was appointed deputy head of Nizhny Novgorod's administration in September 2020.
