Construction of a new water pipeline has been completed in Zelyony City. This was reported by the mayor of Nizhny Novgorod, Yuriy Shalabaev.
The pipeline is 8 kilometers long and runs from the village of Fedyakovo.
According to the head of the city, the launch of the pipeline made it possible to tie a previously dead-end section into the main trunk networks. This has significantly increased the reliability of the water supply for local residents and social institutions.
More than 15 social facilities currently operate in Zelyony City, including schools, sanatoriums, boarding houses and residential care homes. About 2,000 people live here in 300 residential houses.
Even in the event of an emergency, water supply will remain stable, and new buildings can be connected to the system without problems. Firefighters now have a reliable source of water supply, the city administration noted.
It was also reported that Vodokanal intends to complete construction of the main trunk networks in Olgino and Novinki by the end of the year.
Earlier it was reported that a new water supply network was put into operation in Dzerzhinsk.
