       A criminal case is expected to be opened over the filming of a video showing lewd acts in the Church of the Apostle Timothy and Martyr Tatiana in Nizhny Novgorod. This was reported to the editorial office of NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" by the press service of the Nizhny Novgorod diocese.

       As the Nizhny Novgorod diocese emphasized, all participants in the incident will be identified and held accountable in accordance with the law.

       The Nizhny Novgorod diocesan administration will also conduct an internal investigation to determine how those captured on video managed to get into the church premises.

       "Homosexuality* is a sin and has been condemned by the Church since ancient times; the participants in this video, the organizers of the filming, as well as those who profited from it, have revealed their deep moral depravity," the diocese stressed.

       Earlier, a sexually explicit video featuring only men circulated on social networks, allegedly filmed a year ago in the aforementioned church and intended for posting on adult websites.
