The Nizhny Novgorod regional branch of the LDPR is stepping up the fight against illegal street advertising for drugs, the press service of the party’s regional office reports. Recently, activists from the regional branch completed a large-scale raid in the Prioksky district of Nizhny Novgorod.
A team from the party’s youth organization, led by the deputy coordinator of the regional branch, Irina Molkova, inspected more than 20 streets in the district. The results of the raid surprised the organizers, the statement says.
Dangerous symbols and inscriptions, as well as graffiti containing contact information for drug dealers, were found on more than 200 buildings. These inscriptions represent a serious threat to the health and safety of city residents, especially young people, activists emphasize. More than 1,000 such messages were removed by the raid participants.
The Prioksky district is home to numerous schools and childcare institutions, and most of the notices found during the raid were located near these facilities. In particular, dangerous inscriptions were found on Meditsinskaya Street (houses 13, 9, 7, 7a), Krylova Street (2a, 2, 4, 6, 6a, 16, 16a), Surikova Street (16a, 16, 18), Koreyskaya Street (15, 17, 19, 21), and Tereshkova Street (7, 8, 9, 10).
Irina Molkova also recalled that the fight against drug advertising was started several years ago by party comrade Alexander Kurdyumov, who even now, as a member of the LDPR’s Central Executive Committee of Russia, continues to actively work on Nizhny Novgorod’s problems.
“These inscriptions are constantly being left by someone, possibly in broad daylight! We ask ourselves: why is the police inactive?,” says Irina Molkova. “We, LDPR activists, cannot remain indifferent. If we need to paint over drug dealer advertising a thousand times, then we will paint it over a thousand times!”
The LDPR faction of the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod Region has sent requests to law enforcement agencies to strengthen control over the spread of drug advertising.
Activists also call on city residents not to remain indifferent to this problem. If you notice symbols or inscriptions that may indicate drug advertising, report it immediately. Your vigilance will help promptly remove dangerous advertising and prevent the spread of harmful substances.

“Thus, Nizhny Novgorod is becoming an example of an active civic stance and joint work between authorities and society in the fight against drug crime. Only by uniting efforts can we create a safe and healthy environment for future generations,” the statement says.
