      Incidents

      In Nizhny Novgorod, EMERCOM personnel extinguished a fire that broke out in the archway of a residential building on Boris Panin Street.

      According to the regional office of the Russian EMERCOM, the incident occurred on the morning of August 19. Insulation in the archway of the multistory building caught fire.

      Firefighting crews promptly arrived at the scene. The fire spread over an area of about 10 square meters.

      Twenty-three emergency service personnel took part in the extinguishing efforts, and five units of equipment were deployed.

      Fortunately, there were no casualties. The blaze was quickly contained and its further spread prevented.

      Earlier it was reported that a woman died during a house fire in the Voskresensky district.
