The director of a microfinance organization from the Nizhny Novgorod region faced administrative penalties after a complaint from a local resident.

According to the regional office of the Federal Bailiff Service (FSSP), the woman filed a complaint with the agency about the company's actions, which she believed violated her rights as a borrower.

Bailiffs conducted an inspection and found that the debt under the loan agreement had been transferred to another creditor. However, the borrower was not notified of this, although the law requires such notification to be made within a prescribed period.

The FSSP's supervisory department confirmed the violation: this was not the first time the company had ignored legal requirements when dealing with overdue debts. The organization had previously been held accountable for similar actions.

This time the director was held responsible. An administrative protocol was drawn up against him for violating the law on the protection of citizens' rights in debt collection.

At first the head of the microfinance organization (MFO) was issued a warning. But after a repeated similar violation he was fined 100,000 rubles.

Earlier it was reported that a bank had been fined 300,000 rubles for violating the rights of a debtor from Nizhny Novgorod.
