      In his 87th year of life, Nizhny Novgorod architect Vladimir Ignatiev has died. This was reported by the Telegram channel "House of the Architect, Nizhny Novgorod".

      For more than five decades Vladimir Ignatiev devoted himself to the profession, carrying out numerous projects that became part of the city's architectural heritage. His works were distinguished by a characteristic style and attention to detail.

      Among the master's best-known projects are an original chandelier and the decoration of the assembly hall in the House of the Architect building, the café "Grad-Kamen", which stood by the walls of the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin (now lost), and the wooden café "Burlatskaya Slobodka" on Georgievsky Descent.

      "The Nizhny Novgorod Union of Architects and the team of the House of the Architect extend their sincere condolences to the relatives, friends and colleagues of Vladimir Nikolaevich!" wrote representatives of the House of the Architect.

      The farewell ceremony and funeral service will take place on Tuesday, August 19, at 10:00 at the House of the Architect.

      Earlier it was reported that one of Nizhny Novgorod's most experienced pediatricians, Vladimir Bordey, had died.
