Dzerzhinsky "Khimik" topped the standings after defeating "Rubin-2"

      Dzerzhinsk's Khimik footballers convincingly beat Kazan's Rubin-2 in their home match of the 17th round, finishing the game 3–1. Thanks to this victory the club topped the standings of the Russian Second League Championship (Division B, Group 4).

      Already in the 30th second Ilya Yurchenko opened the scoring. The Dzerzhinsk side continued to dominate the field. In the 43rd minute Anton Bocharov doubled the lead, and just two minutes later Ilya Gruznov made it 3–0, putting an impressive full stop on the first half.

      In the second half Khimik played more conservatively, controlling the course of the game. Despite conceding on the 68th minute after a defensive mistake, the hosts secured a comfortable victory.

      The final whistle recorded a 3–1 score.

      Khimik will play their next match on 20 August at 17:00. In the Russian Cup the team will face Amkar-Perm at their home stadium.

      Earlier it was reported that Pari NN had claimed their first win of the season.
