      In Nizhny Novgorod on Betankur Street a traffic accident involving an e-scooter rider occurred. This was reported by the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate (GIBDD) for the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      According to the agency, the accident happened on August 18 at 11:29.

      A 38-year-old woman was driving a Volkswagen. While driving, she struck a 52-year-old man who was riding an electric scooter on the roadway.

      As a result of the collision the victim was injured. He was taken to City Hospital No. 13 by an ambulance crew.

      Earlier it was reported that 151 traffic accidents involving electric scooters occurred in the Nizhny Novgorod region over six months.
