Residents of Nizhny Novgorod can submit applications for the regional grant competition "Drivers of Growth" until September 16.

      SocietyResidents of the Nizhny Novgorod Region aged 18 to 35 can submit applications until 16 September 2025 for the regional competition of youth projects and initiatives "Drivers of Growth," which is held in support of the national project "Youth and Children."

      The total prize fund of the competition is 5 million rubles. In 2025 participants are required not only to describe an individual project, but also to develop a development concept for their youth organization. The project submitted to the experts must correspond to this concept.

      As noted by the Ministry of Youth Policy of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, thanks to the updated format participants will not only receive funding for their projects but also be able to create a development plan for their teams. Applications are accepted from representatives of children’s and youth associations operating on the basis of NGOs or other organizations in the region.

      "Drivers of Growth in 2025 is not just funding, but an opportunity to bring youth projects to a new level. For example, a student council at a university may propose an initiative to develop entrepreneurship among students, but it must be part of a broader work concept, part of the student council’s development strategy. We are expecting bold ideas that will push youth organizations toward major changes and, of course, make life in the region better. To this end, we will certainly help, for example, by providing training that will allow potential grant recipients to prepare fully," says Svetlana Anufrieva, Minister of Youth Policy of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

      The competition has six nominations: "molodezhNO" (projects for developing skills and competencies), "dobrodushNO" (support for volunteer movements and socially significant events), "ozdorovitelNO" (promotion of a healthy lifestyle), "vdohnovlenNO" (development and support of creative youth initiatives), "rodNOe" (patriotic education, strengthening family values, etc.), and "prostranstvenNO" (projects aimed at creating and developing youth spaces). The maximum size of a single grant is 600,000 rubles.

      To help participants prepare applications, the organizers — the region’s Ministry of Youth Policy and the youth center "Vysota" — are conducting master classes on social project design and writing development concepts.       Applications for the grant competition are accepted on the FGAIS "Youth of Russia" platform: https://myrosmol.ru/events/0a29825e-522b-49d4-a058-142df4988fd2 until 12:00 on 16 September. The in-person project defenses will take place on 28 September at the youth center "Vysota." Winners will be announced the same day.       The "Drivers of Growth" project is being implemented in the Nizhny Novgorod Region for the seventh time. Its goal is to create conditions for the self-realization of the intellectual, creative and social potential of the region’s youth. All winning projects will be implemented in the region and refined taking into account experts’ comments.

      In 2024, 24 youth projects received grant support.
