Society: The State Duma is considering a proposal to introduce a ban on the employment of couriers who have convictions for certain crimes. This was stated by State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin, the TV channel "360" reports.
Volodin noted that deputies are discussing several initiatives aimed at improving safety and the quality of services in the delivery sector. One of these initiatives is a ban on courier activity for persons convicted of serious and particularly serious crimes. This decision is aimed at preventing possible risks associated with employing such people.
In addition, deputies are considering tightening penalties for delivering food products without a medical certificate. This will help ensure compliance with sanitary standards and prevent the spread of infectious diseases.
Volodin also reminded that 32 regions have already imposed a ban on courier activity for foreign citizens working under patents. This decision was made to ensure safety and control over work in the delivery sector.
The Speaker of the State Duma emphasized that regions have the right to introduce additional measures, such as mandatory certification of taxi drivers and couriers. These measures include testing knowledge of rules of public conduct and proficiency in the Russian language. This will help improve the quality of services and ensure the safety of passengers and clients.
