More than 45 settlements from fifteen regions of Russia have already joined the large-scale project "Bolshaya ProGULka: transforming the cultural and educational landscape of small towns." The initiative is being implemented by the OMK-Uchastie charitable foundation with the support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives, the company's press service reported.

The program covers territory from the Leningrad Region to Vladivostok. Specialists from various fields intend to master advanced approaches to creating a unified cultural and educational space: teachers and school leaders, staff of museums and other cultural institutions, representatives of houses of creativity, technoparks, businesses and the non-profit sector.

An interactive map "Bolshaya ProGULka around the Small Motherland" has been created to track the geography of participants and the dynamics of the project. It is posted on the project's official website – https://большаяпрогулка.рф. You can also submit an application to participate, consult the event calendar and study methodological materials there.

According to the head of projects at the OMK-Uchastie foundation, Irina Skobeleva, interest in the project is growing every day.

"We are pleased by the attention to our experience, and we strive to make it as useful as possible for project participants," she said.

A wide range of materials is already available — methodological recommendations and video clips. On 19 August the first online meeting will take place for everyone who wants to turn their cities into a large educational resource for teaching and raising our children. Experts will share practical experience on how to connect schools with cultural sites, enterprises and public spaces.

"Come to the webinar and join the project to help shape the future cultural and educational landscape of our cities together," she added.

The webinar titled "The Importance and Value of Creating a Unified Cultural and Educational Space for the City" will take place on 19 August from 11:00 to 13:00 Moscow time. To receive a personal invitation, you must fill out the "Join!" form on the project website.

Note that the project "Bolshaya ProGULka: transforming the cultural and educational landscape of small towns" will be implemented until May 2026. It is a continuation of the ProGUL (urban educational landscape) program launched in Vyksa, Nizhny Novgorod Region in 2021.

The main goal is to pass on accumulated experience and offer tools for launching similar initiatives in other small towns across the country. The key event will be the "Bolshaya ProGULka" forum, which will take place in November 2025 in Vyksa. Speakers are expected to include experts from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Vladivostok, Perm, Kostroma and other cities.
