      City authorities have begun reviewing the placement of scooter parking.

      As reported by the Nizhny Novgorod administration, responding to a resident's complaint on social media, the Department of Transport and Road Management is conducting an analysis of the street and road network to identify sections where the placement of personal mobility devices (PMDs) interferes with pedestrian movement.

      Based on the results of this analysis, specialists are gradually preparing draft regulatory acts that provide for changes to the official list of locations for PMD parking.

      This list was approved by a city administration decree on 28 March 2025. The document, among other things, also specified streets where riding scooters is prohibited.

      Earlier, NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" found that city authorities do not plan to completely ban electric scooters.
