A Nizhny Novgorod artist created an unusual piece of graffiti on Gruzinskaya Street.

      Culture and leisure. A new graffiti by street artist Nikita Nomerz has appeared in Nizhny Novgorod. The work titled "Long-Distance Relationship" is dedicated to the author's personal experience, as he has been living outside Russia for almost three years.

      As the author himself wrote on his Telegram channel, since August 2022 he has been living in Georgia, where he set up a home studio and continues to create. It was there that he produced a series of new works, including the idea for the current street art project. According to the artist, the distance from his studio in Georgia to the wall on Gruzinskaya Street in Nizhny is exactly 1,626.70 kilometers.

      The graffiti, which appeared near the house where the artist grew up, became a symbol of his connection to his native city.

      "My work is about the relationship with a home that has all this time remained far away. But despite the kilometers and insurmountable circumstances, I tried to maintain a connection with it," Nomerz added.

      The artist's friends who remained in Nizhny Novgorod helped bring the idea to fruition. It was thanks to their participation that the project could be realized.

      The piece can be seen in one of the courtyards on Gruzinskaya Street.

      Earlier it was reported that a monument to Nizhny Novgorod inventor Ivan Kulibin was installed in the square on Ilyinskaya Hill.
