      The Prosecutor’s Office of the Soviet District of Nizhny Novgorod conducted an inspection of compliance with the law in the expenditure of budgetary funds. It was established that the state treasury institution “Department of Social Protection of the Population of the Soviet District of Nizhny Novgorod” had provided a subsidy to a self-employed individual to carry out individual entrepreneurial activity. The prosecutor’s inspection showed that the man violated the terms of the concluded social contract, including failing to submit reports on the expenditure of the funds. In 2023 the contract with him was terminated, and the social protection authority’s demand to return the one‑time payment voluntarily was not complied with by him. On this basis the prosecutor’s office filed a statement of claim with the court, which was granted; the man has now fully returned the funds to the budget in the amount of 350 thousand rubles.
