      An investigation into a criminal case against the head of the organization responsible for the care of the city's green spaces has been completed in Nizhny Novgorod. He is accused of failing to ensure safety in the provision of services, resulting in a child being injured. This was reported by the press service of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the region.

      Recall that on June 14, in one of the city's parks, during a walk an 8-year-old girl was struck by a falling tree branch. The child suffered a head injury. Experts determined that the girl's health sustained minor harm.

      It has emerged that the director of the company servicing the green plantings did not properly organize the pruning of dead branches. According to investigators, this was the cause of the incident.

      The Investigative Committee collected sufficient evidence. The criminal case has been sent to court with an indictment approved by the Nizhny Novgorod prosecutor's office. He has been charged under the article on providing unsafe services. The case will be considered on its merits in the near future.

      Earlier it was reported that two children were injured in a collision of four cars in the Sormovsky district of Nizhny Novgorod.
