A woman burned alive in a summer house in the Spassky District.

      Incidents: A serious fire broke out in the village of Krasny Vatras in the Spassky District, resulting in the death of a woman. This was reported by the press service of Russia’s Emergencies Ministry for the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

      The fire started early in the morning in one of the summer cottages. The flames spread over an area of about 90 square meters.

      Eleven EMERCOM personnel and five units of special equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire. The blaze was brought under control, but the tragedy could not be avoided.

      A deceased woman was found at the scene. Specialists are currently establishing her identity.

      According to a preliminary version, the fire was caused by a violation of the rules for the installation and operation of electrical equipment.

      The circumstances of the incident are being clarified.

      Earlier reports said that fires have claimed 103 lives since the beginning of the year in the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
