      Incidents. A road traffic accident involving a tram and a pedestrian occurred in Nizhny Novgorod. This was reported by representatives of the regional office of the State Traffic Inspectorate.

      The incident happened in the middle of the day, at about 12:30, on Kominterna Street near building No. 158.

      According to preliminary information, a man born in 1961 was at a public transport stop. Without making sure it was safe, he stepped onto the tracks and ended up under the wheels of a tram driven by a female tram driver born in 1978.

      The victim sustained injuries but, after being examined by an ambulance crew, refused hospitalization.

      Traffic police officers are currently continuing to establish all the circumstances of the incident.

      Earlier it was reported that in Shatki, Nizhny Novgorod region, a sewage truck driver fatally struck a scooter rider. And in Nizhny Novgorod on Rozhdestvenskaya Street a car driver hit three pedestrians at once.
