VTB: demand for transfers via the Faster Payments System has doubled

      VTB records a significant rise in the popularity of transfers via the Fast Payment System (FPS). According to the results of the second quarter of 2025, the number and volume of incoming transfers to the bank increased more than twofold compared with the same period last year.

      Today every tenth transfer via the FPS in Russia goes to VTB. According to the Bank of Russia, in the second quarter of 2025 Russians made a record 4.6 billion transactions through the FPS totaling 24.8 trillion rubles, which is 62% more than a year earlier.

      For VTB's retail clients, transfers via the FPS have become one of the key instruments for transactions between individuals and companies due to their convenience, speed and minimal fees.

      "The Fast Payment System has become an integral part of life for Russians both for transfers and payments. At VTB, more than 80% of clients transfer by phone number through the FPS. At the same time, payments via the FPS are also gaining popularity — in the second quarter VTB clients paid for goods and services in amounts twice as large as a year ago. The service has become a truly mass and convenient solution for everyday financial operations," said Senior Vice President, Head of the Retail Business Products Department of VTB Alexey Okhorzin.
