Incidents Law enforcement officers detained several residents of Nizhny Novgorod region suspected of organizing illegal production and distribution of synthetic drugs. This was reported by the regional FSB press service.
During operational activities, FSB officers seized over 40 kg of ready-made prohibited substances. Additionally, more than 600 liters of chemical components and precursors used for drug manufacturing were discovered.
Investigators also found specialized equipment and packaging materials intended for product packaging at the clandestine laboratory site.
The Investigative Department of the Department has initiated a criminal case under Part 3 of Article 30 and Part 5 of Article 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. A court has chosen a detention measure for the detained individuals.
The investigation is ongoing. Law enforcement agencies are establishing all circumstances of the illegal activities as well as possible accomplices of the suspects.
