This was reported by the press service of the governor and regional government. The draw will take place on August 7 at the Ministry of Forest Management building. It will cover public hunting grounds where the hunting of elk, wild boar, roe deer, and brown bears is permitted in the upcoming season. The procedure will be conducted electronically through the state information system "Digital Forest." Winners will be selected by a random number generator. Only hunters who submitted applications between May 1 and June 30 will be eligible to participate in the lottery. In 2025, a total of 3,036 applications were received. This means that competition for the opportunity to hunt legally in popular areas will be high. The results of the lottery will be published within five days after it takes place on the official website of the Ministry of Forest Management of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
