The "Life Situations" button has appeared on the "Osnova.rf" portal. It complements the existing "Social Support Calculator" service and helps users step-by-step to resolve typical family challenges. This was announced by the Autonomous Non-Profit Organization "Institute of Demographic Development."
The new feature aims to simplify navigation through the most common questions and eliminate informational barriers when processing documents and receiving support. Each scenario indicates where to turn, what documents to prepare, and what to plan ahead.
Currently, users can find out how to enroll a child in kindergarten or school, obtain a foreign passport, register pregnancy during studies, and apply for an academic leave. Detailed instructions are also available for preparing for maternity leave and returning to work afterward. Each life situation is accompanied by information about available regional support measures.
The Institute plans to expand the service’s functionality by adding new thematic areas: assistance for large families, housing issues, parenting methods, developing harmonious family relationships, and recommendations for important conversations with children—about money, health, personal boundaries, and risks.
Experts are working on creating new scenarios, based on real-life examples to make the service as practical and understandable as possible.
The Director of the Institute of Demographic Development, Yevgeny Zhuravlev, noted that the team’s goal is to create services that truly make life easier. He emphasized that resolving bureaucratic issues is the work of specialists, not parents. According to him, when a person visits the website and immediately understands how to apply for maternity leave or enroll a child in kindergarten, the decision to have a child no longer causes anxiety.
Digital solutions are being developed within the framework of the "Family" national project and the Five-Year Family Program in the Nizhny Novgorod region.
It was previously reported that 30 billion rubles had been allocated to support families with children in the region.
