Nizhny Novgorod trolleybuses were sold for scrap metal on the third attempt.

      State enterprise "Nizhegorodetelectrotrans" completed an auction for the sale of a batch of 41 decommissioned trolleybuses. The winner of the auction was LLC "Vtormet," which purchased the entire lot at the starting price of nearly 1.6 million rubles.

      The vehicles, taken out of service, are being sold as scrap metal weighing a total of 167.4 tons. According to the terms, the buyer will disassemble and dispose of the equipment independently. Most of the trolleybuses were manufactured in 2006.

      By the way, this is already the third attempt to sell the outdated rolling stock. The first took place in April, with a starting price of 1.64 million rubles, and was won by Moscow-based company "Techmetservis." However, the contract was never executed, and in June the enterprise was forced to announce a new auction. The second auction did not take place because no bids were received. Only on the third attempt was a buyer found for the decommissioned equipment.

      Earlier, there was a report about the sale of a barn in the center of Nizhny Novgorod for 4.5 million rubles.
