Incidents A fatal accident occurred on the evening of August 1 on the road between Krasny Mys and Gnilitskie Dvoryki in the Nizhny Novgorod region.
According to the regional traffic police, the accident happened at the 6th kilometer of the specified section. The driver of a Lada Largus, violating traffic rules, entered the oncoming lane, where a collision occurred with a VAZ vehicle.
As a result of the impact, a 33-year-old passenger of the VAZ died. The driver of that vehicle, aged 41, and another passenger, aged 27, were also injured. Both were taken to hospital with various injuries.
After the incident, the driver of the Largus fled the scene. The circumstances of the event are being clarified.
Earlier, there were reports of pedestrians being hit near a cafe on Rozhdestvenskaya Street in Nizhny Novgorod. Three men were injured. The driver of an Omoda car is being sought by traffic police.
