      Hurricane-force wind and heavy rains struck Arzamas tonight. Currently, specialists are working to eliminate the aftermath of the hurricane, said the city head, Alexey Shchelokov.

      As a reminder, because of the bad weather, the streets in Arzamas turned into real rivers, and building roofs fell directly onto cars. Additionally, power outages have been reported in the city due to heavy rains.

      "We have an initial picture of the power outages, but apparently, this is not everything yet. Work has already begun," said Alexey Shchelokov.

      Furthermore, 100 addresses have been affected by flooding. Utilities will primarily work in the districts of Lermontov - Krylov - October. Flooding was also recorded in two kindergartens.

      Home management companies have already provided information about buildings with torn-off roofs.

      "For buildings without management companies, everyone needs to check in. Simultaneously, they will assess the damage and repair costs," added the city head.

      There have been 20 reports of fallen trees. Specialists will start clearing them in an hour.
