The traffic in downtown Nizhny Novgorod has been blocked due to sporting events.

      In Nizhny Novgorod, due to sporting events (0+) from August 2 to August 3, vehicle movement will be temporarily restricted, and public transport routes will be changed. This was reported by the city transport department.

      Parking will be prohibited from 07:00 on August 2 until 23:00 on August 3 on the area to the left of the River Station — from building No. 16 on Nizhnevolzhskaya Embankment to building No. 2 on Gorodetsky Lane.

      From 22:00 on August 2 until 18:00 on August 3, movement will be restricted on the following streets:

      • Proletarskaya (from Karl Marx Street to Volzhskaya Embankment);

      • Volzhskaya Embankment;

      • Sovnarkomovskaya (from Volzhskaya Embankment to Samarkandskaya Street);

      • Samarkandskaya (from Sovnarkomovskaya to Kanavinsky Bridge);

      • Kerchenskaya (from Sovnarkomovskaya to Kanavinsky Bridge);

      • Sovetskaya (from building No. 12 to Kanavinsky Bridge);

      • Kanavinsky Bridge;

      • Pochvalinsky Syezd;

      • Chernigovskaya (from building No. 4 to Nizhnevolzhskaya Embankment);

      • Blagoveshchenskaya Square.

      Additionally, from 22:00 on August 2 to 19:30 on August 3, movement will be limited on:

      • the section of Nizhnevolzhskaya Embankment from Shirokaya Street to Krasnaya Sloboda;

      • Krasnaya Sloboda;

      • Gribnoy Canal Embankment (from Krasnaya Sloboda to house No. 177 Sloboda Pechera);

      • Kazansky Syezd.

      From 22:00 on August 2 to 23:00 on August 3, a section of Nizhnevolzhskaya Embankment from house No. 49 on Rozhdestvenskaya Street to Shirokaya Street will be closed.

      Motorists are asked to remove their vehicles from restricted zones in advance. Vehicles violating this requirement will be эвакуированы. Additional information can be obtained by calling the information service: 417-17-07.

      Public transport routes will also be temporarily changed. In particular, from 22:00 on August 2 to 18:00 on August 3, buses on routes No. 3, 5, 7, 13, 18, 19, 22, 24, 26, 41, 43, 45, 52, 61, 70, 71, 74, 78, 87, 90, 91, 94, 95, 226, 304 will run on other streets.

      Some routes will be shortened:

      • Route 5 — to the "Holy Well" stop;

      • Route 87 — to the "Lenin Square" stop;

      • Route 91 — to "Minin and Pozharsky Square".

      From 18:00 to 19:30 on August 3:

      • Route 5 will operate from Delovaya Street to the "Holy Well".

      From 18:00 to 23:00 on August 3, buses on routes No. 3, 13, 19, 24, 45, 52, 61, 70, 71, 74, 90, 91, 95, 226, 304 will pass through Pochvalinsky Syezd, Maslyakova Street, Gorky Square, Gorky Street, Osharskaya Street, Oktyabrskaya, and Varvarskaya in the direction of Minin and Pozharsky Square.

      In the opposite direction — via Varvarskaya Street, Oktyabrskaya, Osharskaya, Gorky Street, Gorky Square, Ilyinskaya Street, Malaya Pokrovskaya, and Pochvalinsky Syezd.

      Route T-87 during this time will be directed via Pochvalinsky Syezd to the terminus "Maslyakova Street," and in reverse — from the "Architectural and Construction University" along Malaya Pokrovskaya and Pochvalinsky Syezd.

      Buses will stop only at existing stops on all modified routes.
