      A ceremony of awarding state honors to the families of military personnel who died during the special military operation took place at the administration of the Nizhny Novgorod district. This was reported by the district administration's press service.

      The Orders of Courage were awarded to the relatives of Alexey Haruk and Denis Shatilov. Both soldiers died fulfilling their military duty.

      The awards were presented by District Head Alexey Rybilovlev and Military Commissar for the Sove­tsk and Nizhny Novgorod districts Sergey Khilov.

      "Alexey Bogdanovich and Denis Aleksandrovich showed incredible courage and heroism in defending the Motherland. The memory of these honest, responsible, and compassionate compatriots will forever remain in our hearts," said Alexey Rybilovlev during the ceremony.

      Military Commissar Sergey Khilov emphasized that "courage, resilience, and fearlessness are qualities of Russian military personnel," adding: "Today, we honor the memory of those who demonstrated this through their actions."

      It was previously reported that an image of Hero of the SVO Alexey Strechaev appeared on the facade of the NNSU building.

      It is also reminded that in the Volga capital, plans are underway to commemorate the memory of three soldiers who died in the SVO.
