Veterinarians named the causes of death of the Nizhny Novgorod chubby dog, Krugets.

      Society: At the "Compassion NN" shelter, it was reported that the cause of Krugets's death—a dog with severe obesity, abandoned by its owners—was revealed.

      On July 30, the dog suddenly became very ill: it refused to get up and made sounds of pain. Veterinarians suspected dizziness.

      The next day, Krugets died. Later, specialists determined the exact cause. It turned out that the animal unexpectedly developed a tumor on its liver, which caused internal bleeding and a kidney infarction.

      We remind you that Krugets entered the shelter in 2023 in a critical condition. He suffered from pronounced obesity and could barely move. According to shelter staff, the previous owners brought the dog to such a state and then left him on the street.

      Doctors conducted an examination and prescribed a strict diet. Over time, the dog managed to lose weight to 48 kg.

      For several years, volunteers tried to find him a new home, but in vain.
