The amount of state duty for drivers and migrants will increase in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      The President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, approved a law introducing new state fees for car owners and migrants. The document, published on the official legal acts portal, will come into force on September 1, according to Channel "360".

      Several changes are expected for car owners:

      - The fee for changes to the vehicle registration certificate (PTS) will increase from 350 to 525 rubles, and for obtaining a new PTS — from 800 to 1200 rubles.

      - The cost of the vehicle registration certificate will also rise: up to 4500 rubles on plastic and up to 1500 rubles on paper.

      - The fee for a plastic driver’s license will grow to 4000 rubles, and for a new generation document — up to 6000 rubles.

      - The cost of "Transit" license plates will increase from 1600 to 2400 rubles, and paper plates from 200 to 300 rubles.

      - The fee for issuing registration plates will range from 2000 to 3000 rubles (depending on the vehicle type), and for trailer and motorcycle plates — from 1500 to 2250 rubles.

      Additionally, to strengthen migration control measures, the following fees have been introduced:

      - Registration at the place of stay for stateless persons or foreign citizens will cost 500 rubles, and extension of stay — 1000 rubles.

      - Registration of foreigners at their residence will increase from 420 to 1000 rubles.

      - A fee of 4200 rubles will be charged for re-registration or issuance of patents to foreigners. Extending a patent will also cost 4200 rubles.

      - Making amendments to a work permit or issuing a duplicate will cost 2100 rubles.

      Recall that from January 1, 2025, the fee amounts for various services provided by the National Guard Directorate for the Nizhny Novgorod Region were changed.
