      Society Governor of Nizhny Novgorod Region Gleb Nikitin announced the allocation of funding for the construction of a new oncology center on Rodionova Street. He made this statement during a speech before regional parliament deputies on July 31.

      According to him, the project has already received federal support, and the necessary funds for implementation have been allocated.

      As clarified by Nikitin on his Telegram channel, the construction of the medical facility will be part of a large-scale initiative called "City of Health." It envisions the unification of the territories of the N.A. Semashko Hospital and the regional Oncology Dispensary into a single medical cluster.

      According to regional authorities’ plans, the new infrastructure will significantly improve the quality and accessibility of care for patients with oncological diseases.

      It is worth recalling that the construction of the oncology center in Nizhny Novgorod will cost 22 billion rubles.
