A large logistics hub costing 12 billion rubles will be built in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      Economics: The Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod Region has approved, in two readings, an investment agreement between the regional government and the company NinoGrad for the construction of a modern logistics complex. The document was submitted for deputies' consideration by Governor Gleb Nikitin.

      According to the chairman of the Legislative Assembly, Evgeny Lyulin, the implementation of the project will be an important step in the development of the region as a key logistics hub in the country, strengthen the regional economy, create thousands of jobs, and increase the investment attractiveness of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

      The total investment in the project amounts to 12.3 billion rubles. The future complex will cover nearly 150,000 square meters. The commissioning of the facility is scheduled for the end of 2025. It will meet "A" class warehouse standards and, after completion, will be leased long-term to the OZON marketplace. It is expected that the tenant will create about 3,000 jobs.

      NinoGrad will receive an exemption from corporate property tax amounting to about 1 billion rubles. The benefit will be in effect from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2030. During this period, 104 million rubles will be transferred to the consolidated regional budget, and total personal income tax receipts, including the tenant's activities, will exceed 1.3 billion rubles.

      After the expiration of the tax benefit and the complex reaching full capacity, annual tax revenues to the regional budget will amount to nearly 196 million rubles, excluding personal income tax. Expected annual personal income tax receipts will exceed 300 million rubles.

      Deputy Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Yegor Polyakov noted that the new logistics center will become the largest warehouse facility in the region and will increase high-quality warehouse space by more than 20%.

      Additionally, at the beginning of 2025, it was reported that the first phase of the logistics center, which is rented by the OZON marketplace, has already been completed.

      It was also announced that a Wildberries logistics center will be built in Novinki at a cost of 12 billion rubles. There were reports that local residents did not support the construction of the WB warehouse near their homes.

      Another major project planned to be opened in Dzerzhinsk is the future distribution center for the "Pyaterochka" retail chain, which has been approved by the state expertise.
