Society On the Internet, there was information spreading that in Russia, they plan to ban the operation of right-hand drive cars. Allegedly, this is embedded in the draft Strategy for Improving Road Safety in Russia until 2030. However, it turned out to be a fake, as revealed by the "360" TV channel.

In particular, the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Irina Volk, stated that the goal of the project is to improve road safety, not to ban right-hand drive cars.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs emphasized that instead of imposing restrictions, educational work among drivers of right-hand drive vehicles is planned. Additionally, there are plans to adapt cars and road infrastructure to ensure safer and more comfortable traffic.

Irina Volk called on journalists to responsibly approach the dissemination of information and to seek official comments from the press center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
