      Incidents The Moscow City Court withdrew the appeal against the summons in absentia for the arrest of former Nizhny Novgorod Duma Chairman Dmitry Barykin. This information was published on the court's website.

      The reason for the return of the materials was procedural violations that need to be rectified before the case is reconsidered. As a result, the defense has not yet succeeded in appealing the arrest decision.

      Dmitry Barykin is accused of large-scale fraud and money laundering. In June 2025, he was placed in custody in absentia. In mid-July, he also lost his position as general director of the "Krasny Yakor" factory, which he had led since 2002.

      The day before, Barykin was put on an international wanted list. Authorities are unaware of his exact whereabouts.

      The management of the enterprise previously stated that the criminal case is not related to the factory's activities. Details of the charges have not yet been disclosed. It is only known that the alleged crime was committed in Moscow.
