SocietyEmployees of United Metallurgical Company (UMK) continue to actively participate in volunteer projects, helping people and nature. Since the beginning of 2025, they have dedicated 3,631 hours to good deeds. All hours are registered and verified on the "Dobro.ru" platform.
In the first seven months of the year, 5,448 employees took part in volunteer initiatives. Among them, 4,793 people became blood donors.
Metallurgists from Chusovoy stood out in particular; each volunteer participated in at least five campaigns. The Vyksa plant of UMK leads in the number of volunteers and donors, while the most donor events were held in Belgorod.
The "Dobro.ru" platform helps UMK not only to track employee participation but also to plan future initiatives, evaluate their effectiveness, and efficiently allocate efforts and resources. This makes aid more targeted and timely.
Employees of all ages become volunteers—from young specialists to experienced professionals.
UMK implements a wide range of social initiatives: employees clean rivers and forests, assist the elderly and families with children, support people with disabilities, organize leisure and education activities for schoolchildren and students, and participate in search expeditions. Each such activity is recorded on "Dobro.ru," making volunteering transparent and facilitating the sharing of experiences among factories.
Ekaterina Koshienko, head of the Corporate Culture, Social, and Special Projects Department at UMK, noted that the transition to the "Dobro.ru" platform has significantly changed the company's approach to tracking volunteer activities.
A single tool allows for a comprehensive view of volunteer activity across all enterprises. This enables not just organizing one-time campaigns but building a culture of ongoing assistance.
"We are proud of our employees' active stance and are confident that together we can make life in our regions more comfortable and sustainable," said Ekaterina Koshienko.
