Subsidies for the demolition of emergency housing in the Nizhny Novgorod region will be allocated in August

      In the Nizhny Novgorod region, a selection of municipalities eligible for subsidies from the regional budget for the demolition of dilapidated emergency apartment buildings will begin in August.

      As reported by the regional Ministry of Construction, the competition is part of the regional program for the development of housing construction and the elimination of dilapidated housing, approved by the regional government in March of this year.

      Applications will be accepted from August 1 to 15. Municipalities can submit documents to the regional Ministry of Construction in both paper and electronic form. If documents are submitted via email, the originals must be provided within three business days after sending the scans.

      The application should include information on the funding needs for the demolition of emergency buildings from 2026 to 2028. It should also include copies of local authority resolutions recognizing the buildings as emergency and subject to demolition, as well as cost estimate documentation that has undergone expertise at the Nizhny Novgorod State Budgetary Institution "Nizhegorodseta" and has been approved in the prescribed manner.

      It was previously reported that a dilapidated wooden house would be demolished on Znamenskaya Street in the Kanavinsky District.
