Volumes grow, revenues fall: results of the Nizhny Novgorod poultry farms over six months

      Five operational poultry farms in the Nizhny Novgorod region produced 576.7 million chicken eggs in the first half of 2025. That is 5% more than during the same period last year, according to NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" and reports from the regional Ministry of Agriculture.

      These enterprises accounted for 91.4% of the total egg production in the region, which amounted to 631.1 million pieces.

      The laying hen population in the farms reached 4.9 million, a 1.8% increase compared to 2024.

      The region maintains a high level of self-sufficiency in egg production. In 2024, it was 134.8%, and over the past four years, it has increased by more than 6%.

      At the same time, as across the country, a decline in retail egg prices has been observed in the region. This has affected business profitability. Production profitability has decreased. However, the ministry clarified that by the end of the year, prices are expected to stabilize and profitability to gradually recover.

      Earlier, it was reported that Bastrikin would be informed about salary delays at the Lindovskaya poultry farm.
