The first regional chat-bot in Russia dedicated to the Decade of Science and Technology has been launched in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      Nizhny Novgorod Region became the first region in Russia to develop a specialized digital assistant that gathers information about events and initiatives of the Decade of Science and Technology. The chat-bot "Nizhny ScienceBot" was created by the regional headquarters of the Decade as part of the implementation of the initiative "Solutions and Services for the Professional Community."

      The main task of the chat-bot is to simplify the search for current information on scientific and educational events, competitions, grants, exhibitions, forums, and other initiatives within the Decade of Science and Technology. Special attention is given to youth — schoolchildren, students, graduate students, and young professionals interested in scientific development and professional self-realization.

      " In the Nizhny Novgorod region, the development of science is not only about supporting scientific institutions but also creating an environment to engage young people in research activities. Today, it is especially important for schoolchildren, students, and young scientists to have quick access to opportunities to participate in the scientific community's activities. The new chat-bot will help find out where events are taking place, what competitions and grants are available, and how to get involved in the key directions of the Decade of Science and Technology," noted Ekaterina Solntseva, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

      In 2025, as part of the initiatives of the Decade of Science and Technology, public screenings of popular science films, lecture series with young scientists for schoolchildren, themed exhibitions, and festivals were held in the Nizhny Novgorod region. The region also operates seven routes of science popularization tourism aimed at career guidance for schoolchildren and familiarization with achievements in science and technology. In total, over 200 scientific events took place in 2025, with more than 16,000 participants.

      The "Nizhny ScienceBot" chat-bot is available on Telegram at https://t.me/DNTNiNobot. According to the developers, the platform's functionality will expand: new thematic sections, communication tools for participants, and opportunities to promote educational and scientific initiatives will be added.
