In Nizhny Novgorod, a bank employee became a victim of scammers and lost more than five million rubles. This was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Nizhny Novgorod region.
The fraudster, impersonating a law enforcement officer, convinced the woman over several days that a loan was being issued in her name. The victim, following the instructions of the scammer, took out several loans herself.
Then she transferred both the loan funds and her personal savings to accounts dictated to her over the phone. As a result, the total damage amounted to over 5 million rubles. A criminal case has been initiated regarding the incident.
